    Imas Yuniar Table Tennis Athlete NPCI Pangandaran Indonesia Won 3 Gold at APG 2023 Cambodia 

    CAMBODIA - Table tennis players have succeeded in exceeding the gold medal target proclaimed at the ASEAN Para Games 2023 Cambodia. 
    The initial target was 13 gold medals. Now he has won 18 gold and 5 silver medals. 

    Furthermore, 19 male and female table tennis athletes will be projected to the National Training Center for the upcoming 2023 Hangzhou Asian Para Games in Solo City. 

    Additional gold medals included Imas Yuniar who won 3 gold from the team class, mixed doubles and women's doubles for table tennis. 

    "Thank God, Imas Yuniar, an athlete from Pangandaran Regency, on June 7 won a gold medal in the women's doubles class, after the final against Vietnam, " said Wahyu Hidayah, Chair of the National Paralympic Committe Indonesia (NPCI) Pangandaran Regency, Thursday (07/06/2023) 

    Until now, he added, Imas had won 3 gold and exceeded the predicted target of 2 gold. 

    According to him, the opportunity for Imas to pan for gold is still open. Tomorrow we will still compete in the women's singles class and we hope to get the best results. 

    "I as chairman of the Pangandaran Regency NPCI feel proud to have an athlete like Imas, hopefully Imas will be a motivation for the Pangandaran Regency NPCI athletes in particular and in general for people with disabilities to work and be successful, " said Wahyu. 

    "Limitations are not a barrier to being successful through sports and the NPCI is a shortcut to achieving success, " he said. 

    Indonesian table tennis fielded 36 male and female athletes. After the Asean Para Games event, as many as 19 athletes will take part in the national training which is based in Solo, Central Java in preparation for participation in the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou and the 2024 Paralympics in Paris. 

    The rest will return to their respective regions, maybe it is projected for the Asean Para Games in Thailand 2025. 

    The Indonesian table tennis team has indeed dominated the seven events that were contested before. The seven gold medals for table tennis were each donated by Team Men's Team TT8 (Mohamad Rian Prahasta, Banyu Tri Mulyo, Leonardo Aritonang), Women's Team TT5 Leli Marlina, Tarsilem, Women's Team TT9 Imas Yuniar, Hana Resti.
